Brief History
Streams In The Desert Ministry [SID] is a faith based non-denominational Christian Group helping to present The Knowledge of God’s plan of salvation, in a simple, clear, and understandable media to the strategic people of the Harvest – [The Learned Islamic scholars, emirs, rulers Imams, Müllers and High profile Muslim influencers] within the Global Islamic faith and belief. Totally engaging every believer in the Islamic faith, or involved within the propagation Centre/Institution and/or Islamic Evangelistic Initiative until each and every Muslim has heard and come to the true saving knowledge of God.
SID was founded in February, 2001 by Daniel Atiyaye Bazam through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and a direct calling from God to execute Gods will, Purpose and desire for the Lost world and the Saved world through being obedient to the Great Command in John 10 to love and the Great Commission in Mathew 28 to Go in the power of the Holy Spirit and Prayer, meeting the specific need of reaching the Muslim lost world with the true knowledge of Gods Plan of Salvation thereby helping to fulfil the Great commission and Command as issued by Christ – To observe the greatest commandment to Love God and others and the commission Go and make disciples because – “All Authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to me GO therefore and make Disciples”.
It is an Emerging Initiatives that effectively reach the Islamic lost world with the knowledge of Gods plan of salvation presented in the power of the Holy Spirit so that every Muslim everywhere that believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved, Preaching the forgiveness and repentance of Sin through meeting practical felt needs while actively presenting the true knowledge of Gods plans of Salvation in Christ Jesus to our entire lost world target. And also Mobilizing the Saved world through Training, Teaching, Seminars, consultations, Conference and prayers changing lives, conforming individuals to the image of Christ and making Christians everywhere fruitful witness of our Savior and God Jesus Christ, connecting, networking collaborating and partnering helping to change the world through obedience to the Great Commission and the Great commandment in the power of the Holy Spirit.
SID is God - inspired initiative helping to Change lives continuously through an act of obedience walk of faith directly engaging the Muslim mind with Gods revealed and inspired word with the knowledge of Gods Salvation through diverse and proven latest and most strategic God inspired strategic Best Fruitful Practice in Missiology. Submitting to the will of God for service to humanity meeting both Spiritual and physical felt needs offering the greatest message of Salvation to everyone that believe, through the Power of the Holy Spirit bearing remaining fruits from among the Islamic faithful followership coming to the true saving knowledge of the kingdom of light by- Winning, building, nurturing, training, equipping, recruiting, resourcing and sending more Laborers’ for the Harvest as they entrust what they learnt to faithful and trust worthy men.
It serves as a launch pad of emerging mission initiatives, a medium and an instrument manifesting God’s will unto Salvation to every Muslim that believes, and revealing Gods purpose; through winning the Muslim lost world to Christ and equipping and resourcing the saved Muslim communities, generating more fruitful and effective labourers for the harvest within their reach. Proactively obeying Gods command to prayer, evangelism, discipleship, leadership development and resourcing & equipping for the harvest field, that continually results in sending more workers to the unfinished mission field within the world of Islamic belief systems, thereby winning more lost Muslims individuals and Nations to Christ and His kingdom for His Glory.
It is the Holy Spirit working through passionate, obedient and willing/volitional hearts, to meet the emerging mission’s need of Gods purpose in the church for the Islamic lost world, that God is at work-saving and reconciling the Lost world to Himself. As a result, SID is helping in developing diverse and creative media, building and giving capacity through resourcing and equipping the average Christian within the church to be faithful and fruitful witness follower of Christ. Helping to build a new movements and radical believers in Christ, who share their faith as a way of life, by teaching and entrusting same to faithful men and women, who will in turn teach others, using tested and proven transferable modules for emerging initiative with the Best and Proven Fruitful Practice in mission among the unreached individuals, people and the nations of Islam.
Streams is consumed by the passion to see the Church, proactively involved in Productive Evangelistic Initiatives to the lost unreached world, through divers and creative ways for capacity building. Helping to Seeing believers proactively engaged in divers ministry undertakings and initiatives that have great potential and powerful thrust to directly reach the Islamic lost world, changing lives progressively by actively and directly proclaiming the true knowledge of God’s saving power to every Muslim around any community and environs of Islamic neighbourhood they live in or can be identify so they could be saved, beginning strategically from every scholar, emir, ruler and Islamic influencer where he/she lives in a way he understand best, where he live until every Muslim come to the saving knowledge of God.
Streams in the Desert uses Innovative and proven Best Fruitful Practice and initiatives to help accomplish this mandate through the Power of the Holy Spirit by teaching, training and God inspired modules that are transferable, Ready to equip every average Christian and the regenerated Islamic Scholar in Christ for service, effectively building an unstoppable movement that is empowered by the Holy Spirit with a passion and dedication helping to fulfil the Great Commission in this and every other generation working among the unreached Muslims of the world.
Our Calling
Our calling in SID is a response to God’s voice through his living word calling us as we engage with him through our simple act of faith, trust and obedience to Christ command of the great commission as revealed in the scriptures. We are a community of Jesus followers who from a sincere heart, voluntarily and faithfully empowered by the holy spirit, becomes advocates of god’s call to salvation, on behalf of Christ reconciling people to God – ambassadors of Christ declared servants of God according to the scripture. A call to salvation of the lost Muslim world and a call to service for the church to become effective and fruitful witness within the church.
Our call to salvation is biased towards the Muslim lost world communicating and revealing gods’ planned salvation for every Muslim; targeting and engaging first, the learned Islamic scholars, emirs, traditional rulers/influencers, and every initiative and Islamic propagation institution/centres.
A call to service by equipping and resourcing believers in Christ and seeing the whole church increasingly & effectively serving in missions becoming a fruitful witness to the glory of God.
